Do I have this right.. you eat last, all of your kids – and even your husband – are dressed and ready, and you’re runnin’ out rockin’ a wet mom bun and clothes you drug out of the closet.. You think they match.

Hey ya’ll! I’m Kelli Smith, wife to my high school sweetheart, mom to a 20 something, a teenager, and a 2 year old. After pushing thru an intense battle with postpartum anxiety with my last baby - I learned that life systems & organization could help me manage the overwhelm & stop me from freezing in my tracks. I’m so glad to be popping onto Syd’s blog to be doing this guest post. See, I specialize in helping moms find balance in the chaos of their days, to remember to put themselves first, for the benefit of the family, and I can’t wait to dive into my personal story of what brought me to working with Syd and everything we have accomplished in the few short weeks of working together. So here comes my open letter to mompreneurs everywhere about investing in yourself. You deserve it!
Dear Mompreneur,
I know you all too well. Your kid is in karate lessons and every club comin’ and going.. You invest in everyone in your house… hell, even the dog has had swimming lessons but, not you – no investment in yourself. You hold it all together, you are the glue – but you’ve never once taken the time, or the money, to invest in yourself?
And writing this “act of non-investment” off as a selfless act of parenting sounds great.. But is it really selfless – or – is it a built in escape hatch?.. Today, I’m sharing with you 3 reasons you should make an investment in yourself TODAY!

don’t forget to pin this blog! 😉
3 reasons you should make an investment in yourself TODAY!
1. Investing in yourself, no matter what the resources, tells your brain – I KNOW I CAN DO THIS!
When you say the ‘goal’ out loud – you’re making a wish. When you write it down, you are setting a goal, BUT when you create a plan & make the investment to work at it – you are WORKING a goal. A goal with no legs, goes nowhere. Investment & plans.. They give your goals legs!
2. You are less likely to QUIT when you’ve made an investment.
Pay for a personal training package, and see if you don’t get your butt to the gym. Once you put forth an investment, you are IN IT. You are committed. If you want to make real change – invest.. There’s nothing like a check in message hitting my Slack inbox to get me up and going if I wasn’t already! It’ll hold your feet to the fire, and keep you putting your feet ON THE FLOOR.
3. If you knew how to do it, and didn’t need the accountability – you’d already have done it.
Stop convincing yourself you don’t need help.. Freebies on pinterest & google can only get you so far. If it’s worth working for – be willing to receive help for it. Think about how much more productive you could be if you had someone with a plan – invest in a plan. & Guess what momma, IT’S OK TO ASK FOR HELP.
& just know, applying to work with her doesn’t mean you’re committing RIGHT THEN AND THERE. She’s got tons of offers, including FREE ones.
This is my experience with Sydney – after putting it off for so long – I invested in myself, in my dream. I needed a plan, a focus, commitment, guidance, and expertise. I needed each of the above – and that is exactly what I got by working with her.
I’ve accomplished in just 6 weeks what would’ve taken me months to do before – invest in yourself. Believe you can. Give your goals legs –
