There’s 3 C’s when it comes to Social Media Success… Connection, Captivation, Consistency…
I noticed this past week that there’s a common trend with strategy session clients that gets in the way of real breakthroughs in our sessions… DISORGANIZATION of content. In sessions people start to realize OMG I HAVE CONTENT TO POST!…
It’s kind of like that ‘chair’ that all your clean laundry goes to LIVE on… Yes I have this in my house (it’s actually a bookshelf… lol…). But Here’s the thing, I feel like I have NO clothes to wear… Why? Because I can’t find a damn thing. I should really take the time to put it all away… It would consistently save me time getting ready in the morning not having to dig through everything… right? I would consistently be happier with getting dressed in the morning… right?
RIGHT.
Today we will be talking about Consistency. BUT FIRST, before we dive into the content strategy and how to maximize what you ALREADY HAVE – you need to know how to speak to and reach your Ideal Client Avatar (or ‘ICA’). If you don’t know how to do this, do NOT pass go, do not collect $200, you need to define this before strategizing any content and social posting systems. Including which platforms you need to be on to reach your ICA.
Second side note is that to truly maximize your content, you’ll need a PILLAR platform and Micro platform(s). Stay tuned for the deep dive on this topic to come soon.
How to be consistent with your social media content
The answer is WAY simpler than you may realize…
ORGANIZE.
You already have a lot of content on your phone already. There may be questions of if you need to redo it, but there’s definitely the question of where TF it is?!
So, here’s what you need to do… ORGANIZE.
Choose one app in each of these categories. There may be one you prefer more than the ones I am sharing. That’s PERFECT – use something you’re comfortable with.

Apps for Social Media Content
Photo apps:
Create Albums in each – organize however you need to that makes sense to YOU. Personally I like to organize via Google Photo and by ‘content bucket’ (more on that later – IYKYK… I recommend 5 or so content ‘buckets’ for clients to help them when brainstorming and brain dumping ideas. PLUS it makes batching a whole heck of a lot easier).
Dropbox – free but probably will need paid version if storing media
Apple Photos App – FREE on your apple devices. Can hook to iCloud for easy access on any apple device.
Google Photos – FREE and TONS of storage. Accessible on any device.
CAPTION/COPY apps:
Google Docs – FREE. Easily accessible anywhere.
Apple Notes App – FREE. Syncs to the cloud – easily accessible from any apple device.
Trello – FREE but can also be paid service. Trello is a powerhouse and you could potentially use this to store photos as well. BUT if you are not fluent in trello, SKIP THIS.
How to REMOVE posting EXCUSES
Keep it simple
I wouldn’t invent the wheel or LEARN how to use new things. This is all about keeping it simple and organizing. Keeping it simple will keep you more prone to actually organizing your $h!t and allowing you LESS excuses for not posting valuable content for your followers and ICA.
KEEP TRACK
If you have an idea, JOT IT DOWN – it doesn’t need to be perfect in the moment, and if you’re like me, you are BOUND to forget the gem of an idea in 4.2 minutes… SO CAPTURE IT.
Hold yourself accountable
SCHEDULE your time to organize and do these admin/CEO tasks that will make your life easier going forward. Just like we hate folding laundry, when we do it, we know what we have to wear, it’s easier to find, and we feel FLY as HELL cuz we like our outfit. SAME DAMN THING with social media…
